One of the most important and fastest Marathon runs in the world takes place in Berlin every year. Due to the even course past numerous sights, several world records have already been broken in Berlin!

However, the Marathon is an outstanding event for every runner, not only for the pros!

Start cards are much sought-after - we have a comfortable quota of guaranteed start cards!

We will arrive in Berlin on Friday or Saturday, check into our hotel and have the days and the evenings off to visit some of Berlin´s countless sights or go shopping in the various quarters or relax and prepare for the run or..... - after all we are in the capital of Germany!

But please do not forget:
On Friday or Saturday your start-number must be picked up at the
Expo BERLIN VITAL at the former Airport Tempelhof,
opening hours: Friday 27.9.24 from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday 28.9.24 from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Please remember to print and bring your participant confirmation!

Any race number that is not picked-up by the end of the expo will expire invariably.Further important notes:

• Presentation of a photo-id (ID-card, passport, driver‘s licence) is mandatory!
• Presentation of the start card is mandatory!
• Your participation documents have to be picked up personally!
• Pick-up by any other person is not possible!
• The athlete’s wristband is your access authorisation to the starting area. The wristband will be attached at the race number pick-up. Please do not remove it before leaving the finishing area on the day of your race.
• If you have your own ChampionChip, please bring it along and present it for the registration at the counter.
• If you have booked a rental chip, you will receive it together with your starting number.
• Every participant will receive a clothes bag.
• T-Shirts / Jackets: the pre-booked official adidas items have to be picked up at the Expo BERLIN-VITAL. A later pick-up is not possible.
• Start-block changes are only possible with the proof of an official certificate.

On Sunday, September 26th - after a healthy breakfast in our hotel - we will proceed to the start area. The start area will open at 6:30 p.m. You will now need to leave your friends and relatives behind, the start area is only open to participants.

We recommend to choose the entrance according to the location of your clothing drop-off.
Please make sure that your wristband which will be tied around your wrist when fetching your race documents is still in place.

The Marathon will start at about 9:15 a.m. There are three starting waves, which depend on your target time and which are fixed by the operator.

Pacemakers are allocated in all 3 starting waves, they carry a blue Pacerflag with the associated target time.

In wave 1 the pacers are for 3:00 - 3:15 and 3:30 h
In wave 2 they are for 3:15 - 3:30 - 3:45 and 4:00 h
In wave 3 they are for 3:30 - 3:45 -4: 00 - 4:15 - 4:30 and 5:00 h

And now you are one of over 45.000 runners! Along the course you will enjoy fascinating views and sights, about 1 million spectators, numerous live bands and so much more!

After the Marathon, you can reach your hotel after a very short walk - no queueing for taxis or waiting for busses!
